After 15+ visits to Vegas this is the best itinerary for a classic bachelorette weekend
New video: Where we stayed, ate, drank and played in Las Vegas - 3 day itinerary
We’ve been to Vegas collectively over 30 times. I’ve been visiting since I was 16 and watched the strip and city change over the years. It is one of the best foodie destinations in North America with new trends coming to the forefront each year.
Recently, it is speakeasy hot spots, massive Vegas-style country bars and every TV celebrity has a restaurant on the strip. So when Taryn declared her choice was Las Vegas for her bachelorette I (Murissa) was put in charge of planning.
When I started to put pen to paper with my ideas I found it very difficult to come up with something unique and new. It was a lot of pressure to get it right. It only happens once, hopefully.
Sure, there are plenty of shows but a lot of it feels like been there done that - Cirque de Soleil, magicians, even drag shows felt so overdone. In the end it came down to
1) What did we really want to spend our money on?
2) What did we want to spend our time doing?
It turns out we wanted just to have a good time together. No sitting in silence in the darkness of an audience to watch a show. We wanted to gather at unique bars, restaurants and old favourites, drink, eat and talk. Reminisce. Play.
