These 8 Insane Kelowna Bakeries Serve Up Some Festive Eats
Plus what Christmas in Wine Country looks like
This newsletter brings you not one but TWO festive videos.
We also want to thank you for your support. We have nearly 800 readers who love food and supporting local as much as we do. Happy holidays and cheers to 2025 with YOU!
You know we love to support local and this festive season we decided to pay a visit to the most festive pastry shops and bakeries in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada!
From a Grinch head made of chocolate and the best sausage roll I have ever had to a gingerbread egg nog NY Roll and so many more delicious bites!
Canada’s Christmas Train
It is the holidays here in the Okanagan wine region all month we have been diving into the festive season. Earlier this month I was treated to the most festive experience at Mission Hill Winery which included a 4 course wine paired dinner with the theme of Christmas in Italy. I’ve included the Nutellamisu recipe below if you care to give it a go (see video for visuals).
I also paid a visit to Canada’s tiniest Christmas market in Peachland. Hosted at the Gasthaus on the Lake restaurant, the Gasthaus Christmas Market sells Glühwein and authentic German ornaments…watch as my kid tries to buy a Krampus ornament and caught a ride with my kids on Canada’s Christmas Train in Summerland (PS Canada’s wine train is now selling tickets for June).
Cheers for now as we take a brief break to enjoy time with our family and all the delicious eats! We wish you and your loved ones a very happy holiday season and a restful break.
